St Lawrence

Church Road, Stone Street Seal Chart Sevenoaks

http://www.sealstlawrence.org.uk

St Lawrence Parish Church serves those who visit it, and the St Lawrence ward of Seal Parish Council within the District of Sevenoaks in Kent, UK. The parish consists of three communities:- the hamlet of Bitchet Green, the hamlet of Stone Street, and part of Seal Chart, both North and South of the A25 road.

Services are held every Sunday and midweek on feast days. Our worship includes both modern (Common Worship) and traditional (Book of Common Prayer) services.

We have a thriving Sunday School. Other groups include bell-ringers (we have a peal of 6 bells), a prayer group, and a Bible study group. We have a small and enthusiastic choir.

While about half our worshipping family comes from our own parish, many others feel drawn to St Lawrence's by the friendliness of the congregation and the beauty of the church building.

We are a Church of England Church, within the Diocese of Rochester, but also have strong ecumenical links. We have signed a Covenant with the local Methodist and URC churches.

St Margaret

St Margaret's Church is the Church of England Parish Church for the village of Underriver, which has a population of approximately 300. We hold services every Sunday (usually at 11:15am, but please check with our contact); our worship pattern varies (depending on the Sunday in the month) between Common Worship Parish Communion, Book of Common Prayer, and a short Family service - this latter, held on the Third Sunday of the month, follows our Sunday Club, and is the best attended of our services. There are also Bible Study and Prayer groups each meeting about once a fortnight in homes.

Although a separate parish, we are linked with St Lawrence's Church, Seal Chart, with which we share annual events and our vicar.
